Featured project — Remebering the Past by Embracing the Future
The first project for Waco Wall Printing began in a place that has been part of the community for generations: University Barbershop.
For more than 60 years, the shop has been a gathering place for Waco men—where stories are told, friendships are built, and traditions are passed down one haircut at a time. Recently the shop entered a new chapter under the ownership of Ashley Jenkins, a talented stylist and someone deeply committed to preserving the spirit of the place while guiding it forward.
Ashley also gave Waco Wall Printing its very first opportunity.
Using vintage photographs from the shop’s history—including images of barbers who spent decades of their lives working there—we transformed those memories into large wall prints inside the shop itself. One barber has worked there for nearly the entire life of the business, and another has been part of the shop for more than 25 years. Their stories, along with those of many others who spent their careers behind those chairs, are now part of the walls that surround today’s customers.
What started as a first job became something more meaningful: a way to preserve the character and history of a Waco landmark while helping it step into its next era.
